Invitation for Racial Justice Sunday December13th Dear Maisha members and friends of the African community, we would like to invite you to our 10th
Racial Justice Sunday which is again going to take place at DREIFALTIGKEITSKIRCHE FUNKSTRASSE 18. 60486 FRANKFURT/M: (DIRECTION REBSTOCKBAD) on Sunday,
December 13th at 12 p.m. You can reach us with Straßenbahn/TRAM
NR. 17 from the main train station Stop at LEONARDO DA VINCI. As it is the tradition of Maisha to end the year
with prayers the Racial Justice Sunday is going to take place in
remembrance of our brothers and sisters who have lost their beloved
once or have been victims
of racial attacks in Germany and Europe. We want to show our
solidarity to their family and friends. We also give people the chance
to ask for a personal prayer or to remember somebody by placing a
stone or lightening a candle by the altar. There will be a special program for victims of
racial discrimination from all over Germany. The program will start
one day in advance and we have invited specialists for this task.
Please contact us in time for travel arrangements. At the same time it is a unity Sunday and we use
the opportunity to share together a common church service of different
African religions, cultures and countries. We will pray to God to give
us the power to work together and support each other in the future
more effectively. There will be a lively joint church service with
African pastors from different African Churches (Christian and Muslim
pastors are invited) and countries as well as German pastors. This
year we have also invited politicians, who will speak about
integration and our situation in Germany. We will also have African
gospel singers, drummers and African Food and drinks. The program and
the food is free (no entry fee) but we would appreciate if you would
give a small donation. We take this opportunity to thank all of you for
your continuing support for Maisha, and your solidarity with each
other within the African community. Please come and tell all your friends about this
big event for which last year we had 300 Africans from 30 different
African countries living in Europe attending. MAISHA
e.V. would like to wish all friends and families a happy and very
prosperous year 2010. |
